Napsin A/p40 detection reagent (Immunohistochemical) is mainly used to qualitatively identify TTF-1 and CK5/6 proteins. Using immunohistochemical dual staining detection and multiple antibody combination technology, there are detected two antigen targets at the same time on the same sample tissue section by one staining process.

Napsin A is expressed in normal alveolar type II epithelial cells and proximal and distal renal tubules. Napsin A is expressed in 80% lung adenocarcinomas. The sensitivity and specificity of Napsin A are better than TTF-1.
p40 (ΔNp63) is a subtype of p63 protein, which is mainly expressed in bronchial mucosa basal cells of normal lung tissue and glandular myoepithelial cells. It has high specificity and sensitivity to lung squamous cell carcinoma. Napsin A/p40 can help pathologist to diagnose cases.
