FOXP3 is a regulatory protein involved in immune system response. It is a key transcriptional regulatory protein that determines the differentiation and function of regulatory T cells. It is mainly expressed in natural regulatory T cells and induced regulatory T cells. The researches has shown that the proportion of regulatory T cells in peripheral blood and local tumor tissues of patients with a variety of tumors is increased. This phenomenon directly mediates the tolerance of autoimmune effector cells to tumors and is closely related to the development of tumors and poor prognosis.
